Bookings and payments

01How do I book a tour?

Choose your tour, click “Book now”, fill in the travelers’ details and send your booking. You will receive a PDF voucher by email and a specialist will contact you on WhatsApp.

02Which payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards via Izipay and PayPal. We also accept bank transfers for groups by prior arrangement.

03Do I have to pay 100% in advance?

No. You can secure your booking with a 50% deposit and pay the balance on arrival in Cusco.

04Why is there a 5% fee on online payments?

It covers payment gateway processing costs. It does not apply if you pay the balance in cash in Cusco.

Altitude and health

01How many days do I need to acclimatize?

We recommend at least two days in Cusco (3,399 m) before a high-altitude trek.

02What is soroche?

Altitude sickness: headache, fatigue or nausea. Prevent it with good hydration, light meals and a gradual ascent.

03Do I need vaccines?

None are mandatory for Cusco and Machu Picchu. Ask your doctor about yellow fever if you will visit the lowland jungle.

Machu Picchu and permits

01How far ahead should I book Machu Picchu?

At least 3 days; for Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, more than 30 days in high season.

02When is the Inca Trail closed?

All of February, for maintenance.

03Can I change the name on my ticket?

No. Tickets and permits are personal. Double-check your passport details when booking.

Gear and weather

01What clothes should I bring?

A layering system: thermal base layer, fleece, waterproof jacket, trekking pants, hat, gloves and sunscreen.

02Do you rent gear?

Yes: sleeping bags, poles and pads. You can add them when booking.

03What is the best time to travel?

April to October (dry season). November to March is rainier but less crowded.
